Citi's ex-Goldman Sachs global co-head of infrastructure is going
Luisa Leyenaar Huntingford is leaving Citi. She was the bank's London-based global co-head of infrastructure and was hired from Goldman Sachs in 2022 to help the bank build out a franchise which works with investment firms on infrastructure deals.

Citi isn't commenting on her departure and Leyenaar Huntingford didn't respond to a request to comment. Her co-head, Todd Guenther in New York, is presumably staying.
Citi insiders say Leyenaar Huntingford decided to leave. She is going on a high after building the bank's infrastructure franchise into one of of the leaders in both EMEA and globally and was one of the only women on the leadership team for the investment bank.
We don't know what Leyenaar Huntingford is doing next, but she is likely to be in demand. Before Citi, she spent nearly four years at Goldman and before Goldman she was nearly 13 years at RBC. Reuters reportedly previously that she helped found Goldman's infrastructure franchise.
Citi's infrastructure banking business has been through various changes of people in recent years. Before Leyenaar Huntingford arrived, it was led by Guenther and Francisco Abularach, but Abularach escaped to Antin Infrastructure Partners in 2021 before going to JPMorgan last July and is now head of infrastructure for EMEA there. Jorge Ramos, another large cheese in EMEA infrastructure, is still at Citi but is now head of investment banking for Spain, while also working on infrastructure coverage.
Leyenaar Huntingford's arrival in 2021 was announced by Anthony Diamandakis, the star Citi sponsors banker who moved to JPMorgan last year. Diamandakis left after Ashu Khullar was unexpectedly moved from Citi's corporate bank to become his co-head.
Khullar and Sidharth Punshi are now running Citi's European sponsors business and seemingly need to make new hires. Leyenaar Huntingford is not the only exit. Davide Russo left in March. Theo Giatrakos went to JPMorgan last June after leaving when Punshi arrived. Kaan Kaesedar went to Evercore last October.
