Some of those who left in New York have clustered at a new employer, where life seems fine. - Crossover Markets, an institutionally focused crypto marketplace.
The Credit Suisse refugees at Crossover Markets include Alex Roitgarts, Credit Suisse's former head of electronic IT trading, who joined as a managing director in June and Vladimir Kochanov, a former VP of software development who initially joined UBS for a year before leaving and coming to Crossover in September. The CTO is also a Credit Suisse veteran, Vladislav Rysin, who worked for Credit Suisse for eight years until 2008 and joined from Euronext FX after being the CTO of FastMatch, which was sold to Euronext.
Crossover was founded in 2022 by Brandon Mulvihill and Anthony Mazzarese, both former Jefferies prime broking professionals. Speaking to us at the time, Mulvihill said there was no intention to congregate in an office because "working from an office is utterly inefficient."
Mulvihill appears to have held onto this sentiment. We understand that many employees at Crossover Markets are still remote and that the culture of the firm is both intense and congenial.
