Deutsche Bank probably needs some new high yield salespeople in New York

If you’re a high yield trader or salespeople looking for a home, Deutsche Bank’s New York office may like to hear from you. Various senior figures have left in recent months.

As we reported last month, Brad Dunkin a managing director on Deutsche Bank’s US distressed sales team, is off to Morgan Stanley.

Observers point out that Dunkin isn’t the only exit from Deutsche Bank’s broader illiquid credit trading business.

Greg Driscoll, the bank’s head of high yield sales left in December after a short 15 months stint; Alex Diss, a director in high yield sales resigned around two weeks before Dunkin and is expected to join Citi.  And Jaclyn Bennett, a director on the US leveraged loan desk resigned while on maternity leave and is expected to join Bank of America.

Deutsche Bank declined to comment on the spate of sales departures. There have been trading exits too: Stephen Deletto, the bank's former head of trading left for TD Securities last July.

The reason for exits is unclear, but there are suggestions that internal moral is not the best and that the desk lacks direction since Deletto went.
