The best dressed new MD at Goldman Sachs

If you're looking for some tips on how to dress if you want to make it to the top in banking, someone at Goldman Sachs might be the man to emulate. He's not only one of Goldman's newly promoted 465 managing directors, he's an ambassador for leisure clothing brand Lululemon and he has a popular Instagram account with thousands of followers.

The MD in question is New York City-based Wael Younan, who works on Goldman's multi-asset class portfolio solutions team. He's been at Goldman Sachs since 2010, but he has a sideline as a sartorial influencer.

Younan's been a Lululemon ambassador since February 2019. It's an accolade he shares with around 1,500 other people globally. Lululemon describes its ambassadors as 'leaders, storytellers, and doers from around the world.' Ambassadors don't get paid, but they do get to hang out together with a focus on style and their personal development.

Younan's real gift, however, is his Instagram channel, which provides insights for anyone wondering what a well-groomed Goldman MD wears at work and during his downtime. The answer includes sharp suits, blue sneakers, and short pants. There are a lot of wistful shots in urban and beach locations, and some midriff with abs. Aspiring Goldman MDs have their lookbook right here.
