We are looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Real Estate & Property organization. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of external and internal financial reporting, apply strong technical accounting judgment, and collaborate with teams across finance, tax, legal, treasury, and audit. This position is ideal for someone who can translate complex accounting guidance into clear reporting outcomes while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the development and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes, schedules, and supporting reporting materials.
• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of reporting deliverables to ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting standards.
• Evaluate complex transactions by researching applicable accounting guidance, documenting conclusions, and preparing technical accounting memoranda.
• Serve as a primary contact for external auditors by organizing audit support, responding to inquiries, and validating underlying analyses and documentation.
• Produce reporting materials related to significant transactions, leadership updates, board presentations, and lender deliverables as business needs require.
• Track new and changing accounting standards, determine their impact on the organization, and lead implementation into reporting practices and policies.
• Strengthen internal control activities tied to financial reporting through documentation, testing support, process improvement, and remediation follow-up.
• Prepare lease accounting, hedge accounting and impairment transactions
Requirements
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting roles.
• Demonstrated background preparing or reviewing financial statements, disclosures, and materials used in audit processes.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including the ability to interpret guidance and apply it to complex accounting matters.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical accounting topics to varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA certification and Big 4 public accounting experience are strongly preferred, along with familiarity with platforms such as Yardi, Blackline, Workiva, or OneStream.
