Job Description
Visa's Observability Team ensures the effective monitoring and logging of the company's infrastructure and applications. Utilizing a variety of tools to provide comprehensive observability, which aids in proactively identifying and troubleshooting issues, enhancing system performance, and ensuring high availability.
Our latest project involves developing a Splunk alternative using Clickhouse, a powerful columnar database. We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, a keen interest in database technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience2+ years of experience in software development.
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficiency in Golang and Java.
• Good to have knowledge of C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Fluentbit, etc.,
• Experience with database technologies, preferably Clickhouse or other columnar databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Ansible is an added advantage.Information for US Applicants :For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $88,000.00 to $ 136,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
