Description

We're looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join the team at DPC , part of the Sumer Group.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious practice accountant who is looking to build on their experience, take on more responsibility and continue developing their career within a supportive and growing accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you'll work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting with the preparation of accounts and providing a high-quality service across a range of assignments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for a range of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing VAT returns and other compliance work.
• Assisting with tax computations and returns.
• Managing your own portfolio of clients with support from senior team members.
• Communicating directly with clients and building strong working relationships.
• Supporting more junior members of the team and sharing your knowledge.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver an excellent client experience.
• Working closely with Managers and Seniors to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We're looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in an accountancy practice environment.
• Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, AAT or an equivalent qualification.
• Confident preparing accounts and dealing with a variety of client work.
• Comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities.
• Keen to continue learning and developing their technical knowledge.
• A team player who takes pride in delivering great work.
