Overview



Want to build a career in insurance? Join WK Webster's Marine Casualty team as a Claims Adjuster and take the first step into a specialist area of the industry. This is an entry level opportunity with full training provided, making it ideal for someone looking to learn, develop and build a long term career.



Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. Hybrid working available following probation, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.



You'll support the handling of shipping related claims and incidents, preparing reports and invoices, managing cases, maintaining accurate records and liaising with solicitors and other stakeholders when required.



We're looking for someone with strong communication, written and analytical skills who is eager to learn and progress. No previous insurance experience is required, just the motivation to develop your skills and build a successful career within the industry.




How you'll make an impact





  • Preparing invoices, reports and claim related documentation

  • Managing cases and ensuring key deadlines are met

  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems

  • Liaising with clients, solicitors and other third parties when required

  • Responding to enquiries via telephone and email

  • Supporting the handling of shipping related claims and incidents

  • Gathering information and assisting with investigations

  • Providing administrative support to the wider team

  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with company procedures




About you





  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable communicating by telephone and email

  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Keen to build a long term career and progress within the business

  • Experience gained within customer service, administration, retail or hospitality would be beneficial but is not essential
