What you'll do
As a Strategy Director, you'll shape enterprise strategic priorities by structuring and driving responses to complex, enterprise-wide questions, adapting to new information, and focusing on the critical issues that drive outcomes. You'll also lead strategic insight by anticipating macro trends, translating them into organisational implications, and guiding responses that influence long-term positioning.
Moreover, you'll own the delivery of major strategy initiatives, managing a portfolio of work and balancing scope, time, and resources to deliver high-quality, impactful outcomes for senior audiences, including Bank ExCo. You'll also lead senior stakeholder engagement and communication, building alignment across complex environments, resolving challenges, and shaping clear, consistent narratives for executive decision-making.

- We'll look to you to guide leadership toward clear strategic choices, shaping overall decision-making and orchestrating senior stakeholder engagement
- This is an opportunity to lead on driving high-impact outcomes at senior level by being accountable for end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring the bank is well positioned in response to external change
- This is a hybrid role, with at least two days a week in the office

- Framing and driving key enterprise-level strategic questions and ensuring the work remains anchored on the issues most critical to business outcomes
- Identifying key insights, interpreting macro and market developments for the bank, and translating these into clear strategic implications for leadership
- Owning delivery across a portfolio of projects, including setting priorities and managing trade-offs across scope, resources, and timelines, with accountability for overall outcomes
- Shaping coherent, decision-oriented narratives and ensuring strategic materials support high-quality discussion and decision-making at senior levels
- Navigating complex and senior stakeholder landscapes, using relationships, timing, and framing to influence outcomes, manage resistance, and resolve escalated tensions where necessary
- Building and leading high-performing, multi-disciplinary strategy teams, developing others systematically, and shaping team structures and ways of working to support sustained delivery
The skills you'll need

- Extensive professional experience in in-house strategy, management consulting, or equivalent roles
- Extensive written and oral communication skills - e.g., presenting, writing memos and high-impact presentations
- The ability to motivate and coach diverse teams to drive strong business performance
