Joining the Macquarie Asset Management EMEA Business Compliance team, you will provide trusted compliance advice across private markets strategies spanning infrastructure, the energy transition and private equity, helping teams navigate complex regulatory requirements while supporting growth and innovation.

What role will you play?

You will work closely with investment and business teams across EMEA, providing practical and commercially focused advice on regulatory and compliance matters that support strong business outcomes. In this varied advisory role, you will help embed compliance considerations into decision-making, oversee key compliance activities, contribute to monitoring and regulatory change initiatives, and translate evolving regulatory requirements into clear and actionable guidance. You will also partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen risk awareness, deliver training and support a culture of accountability and compliance across private markets activities.

What you offer

  • 5-8 years of compliance experience within financial services, ideally including exposure to asset management or private markets environments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European regulatory frameworks relevant to asset management, with broader global regulatory exposure being beneficial.
  • Sound understanding of Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II and related regulatory requirements, with knowledge of sustainability regulation across the UK and Europe.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach, with the ability to provide clear, outcome-focused compliance advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and varied advisory environment

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
