Join us as an Infrastructure Manager

• In this key role, you'll help shape our bank of the future through innovation and technological advancement
• We'll look to you to ensure the operational health of the platform, by managing and delivering technology property projects, covering all aspects of service, risk, cost, and people
• With a broad spectrum of technology at your fingertips, you'll help put the bank at the forefront of innovation by simplifying our services and creating the best possible experience
• You'll work from home some of the time, but you'll also spend at least two days working from our London and South offices and branches, plus weekend work as required

What you'll do

As an Infrastructure Manager, you'll assist in delivering a robust production management service for relevant infrastructure platforms. You'll also maintain their operational stability and performance, including supporting system utilities and tools, in line with service management as well as risk and control frameworks and processes.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

• Driving the team's activities to make sure that the technical property strategy aligns with platform integrity and is maintained in line with the technical roadmaps
• Encouraging innovation to support a continually improving implementation approach at a sustainable pace, while ensuring stakeholder priorities are delivered and customer outcomes are achieved
• Planning and executing work within the platform, and making sure that feature development requests from cross-platform initiatives are responded to on time
• Articulating and championing the frequent delivery of business value and improved customer experiences, while guiding teams to focus on customer outcomes
• Seeking out opportunities to simplify the platform and property architecture, infrastructure, services, and customer solutions, while guarding against introducing new complexities

The skills you'll need

Innovation and customer experience sit at the heart of this role, so we're looking for someone with knowledge of relevant industry-standard toolsets and processes to help drive improvement in customer service within an IT environment.

You'll also need to bring:

• Technical knowledge, including building infrastructure, branching strategies, desktop environments, platforms, technology, networks, products, and relevant applications
• A strong understanding of, and proven experience in, applying operational principles, leading change initiatives, and overseeing risk, finance, and governance across large-scale property projects
• A solid background working in both Agile and Waterfall environments, with experience in continuous delivery and continuous integration
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to colleagues and stakeholders, including those at management level
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience working with third-party subcontractors
