This is a highly visible role, sitting within a well-established global credit platform, where you'll be responsible for the underwriting, approval, and ongoing monitoring of sophisticated institutional clients. The position offers extensive interaction with Front Office teams, senior stakeholders, and fund management clients across the region.

- Underwrite new counterparties and support the onboarding process.
- Monitor portfolio exposures against approved limits, risk triggers, and appetite metrics.
- Analyse stress testing results and identify emerging credit risks.
- Review and approve credit risk exposures within delegated authority levels.
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and escalate material risks where appropriate.
- Partner closely with trading, sales, legal, and risk teams to support client activity.
- Contribute to improving underwriting quality, risk frameworks, and operational efficiency within the team.
Ideal Background
- Strong experience within Counterparty Credit Risk, specifically covering Hedge Funds and/or Real Money Funds.
- Proven track record in credit underwriting, due diligence, and ongoing risk monitoring.
- Good understanding of derivatives, securities financing transactions, and associated counterparty risk exposures.
- Experience analysing risk drivers, stress scenarios, and portfolio-level exposures.
- Familiarity with ISDA, CSA, GMRA, and GMSLA documentation and negotiations.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with both clients and senior internal stakeholders.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently while collaborating within a global team environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA or FRM are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of credit risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with credit risk systems, financial analysis tools, and exposure monitoring platforms.
This opportunity would suit an experienced credit professional seeking to join a globally recognised institution known for its strong emerging markets franchise, international footprint, and sophisticated institutional client base.
