Description Summary

Balyasny is looking for an experienced Futures Middle Office/Operations Senior Associate professional. The Futures business unit is one of the fastest growing profit centers at BAM, rapidly onboarding new markets, and staff around the globe to grow trading capabilities. The Middle Office/Operations team plays an integral role in the success and growth of the business.

In the Middle Office/Operations Senior Associate role, you will be responsible for:
• Gain mastery of the firm's proprietary trade capture, trade management processes, reconciliation, and available reporting tools to continually improve our ability to provide analysis and support internal stakeholders, including investment teams
• Gain strong understanding of operational front-to-back processes, working to improve overall effectiveness of support throughout the firm.
• Maintain and build relationships with Executing Brokers, Prime Brokers, Fund Admins, and other counterparties daily
• Promote, adopt, and integrate new technology as it becomes available
• Working with the firm's clearing houses and brokers on trade, position, and valuation reconciliation

Requirements
• At least 5-8 years of experience in Futures markets in middle office or operations
• Strong understanding and knowledge in Futures Brokerage & Billing.
• Proficiency with FIA Atlantis, DOCS, and FCR
• Proficiency in exchange systems such as CME ClearPort, WebICE, etc.
• Deep Experience with futures clearers (FCMs), including T0 trade reconciliations and T+ Total Equity Reconciliations and lifecycle event processing - Option Expirations & Physical Deliveries
• Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills
• Energetic with team player mentality and process improvement oriented
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to identify issues and potential solutions proactively
• A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership over processes and is resourceful
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
