In this role, you will contribute to business growth by supporting the sales and trading team in executing its strategy to generate value for internal and external clients. You will play an active role in supporting the desk, sourcing funding, and/or securities, engaging with counterparties/clients, monitoring trading risk, and supporting the development of technology-enabled tools and processes that enhance trading efficiency, controls, and scalability.

What role will you play?

On a day-to-day basis, the role involves actively managing securities inventory, funding, liquidity, and collateral, while monitoring and communicating trading risks, market developments, and business opportunities to key stakeholders. The individual is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with counterparties and clients, contributing to the team's risk management framework through disciplined trading practices and strong operational controls. The role also supports process improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and AI-driven solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and automation.

What you offer

  • 2+ years' experience in SFT financing, Securities Borrowing & Lending, Repo, Treasury, or a related financing role.
  • Strong understanding of financing products, collateral management, and risk management, including interest rate, FX, basis, balance sheet, and liquidity risk.
  • Advanced Excel skills and Python (or similar) programming experience, with an interest in automation, AI-enabled tools, analytics, and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities, with sound judgment and the ability to assess risk versus reward.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clients, brokers, custodians, institutional lenders, and other market counterparties; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the SFT trade lifecycle, settlement processes, fails and recalls, and the ability to manage negotiations and competing priorities accurately under time pressure.
