Director of Performance and Planning
The Humber Health Partnership is one of the largest Groups in the NHS, with a budget of over £1.6bn and 19,000 dedicated staff serving 1.5 million people. Bringing together Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (HUTH) and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLAG), we deliver care across five hospital sites and community settings providing secondary and tertiary care to a significant sized population. We also deliver a wide range of community services across North and North East Lincolnshire, including district nursing, physiotherapy, psychology, podiatry, and specialist dental services. As Teaching Hospitals working with the Hull York Medical School, we are a UK leader in research and innovation, and a key partner in the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care System.
As a Group we continue to face significant regulatory and performance challenges and have recently been placed into Special Measures (NOF 5) by NHS England. With a new Chief Executive and Chair in place, we are focused on driving improvement, strengthening our services, and providing better outcomes for our patients and communities. We're proud of what our people have achieved so far and remain committed to making our Group a great place to work, with patients at the heart of everything we do.
We are now seeking to appoint a Director of Performance & Planning, reporting to our Group Chief Delivery Officer and responsible for driving operational performance & planning across our sites. You will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our improvement priorities, oversee the development of effective performance frameworks, and ensure that operational and clinical leaders have the information they need to deliver sustainable improvement. Visible across all of our sites, you will play a key role in embedding a culture where performance improvement is driven through partnership, accountability, and continuous learning.
You will be a credible and collaborative senior leader with significant experience of improving operational performance management and delivery within a large and complex healthcare environment. You will be comfortable operating at strategic and operational levels, using insight and evidence to influence decision making, challenge constructively, and support leaders to achieve better outcomes. Above all, you will be someone who can build relationships, coach and support colleagues, and create the alignment needed to improve performance across a large and geographically dispersed environment.
We are keen to attract candidates who can bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas to our senior leadership team. We warmly welcome expressions of interest from the widest possible range of backgrounds, particularly those who are under-represented in senior leadership roles within the NHS.
This is an outstanding opportunity to shape a function undergoing significant transformation within one of the largest NHS Groups in the country. If you are passionate about using data, planning and insight to drive meaningful improvement, we would be delighted to hear from you.
