Head of Operational Risk: Lead and develop the Operational Riskfnction, ensring effective oversight of operational risk across the bsiness.Yo will drive continos improvement, provide independent challenge, spportstrategic decision-making, and help embed a positive risk cltre.




Main Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the Operational Risk team and create a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Maintain and improve operational risk frameworks, policies, standards and gidance.

Provide independent oversight and challenge of risk assessments, controls and action plans.

Monitor emerging risks and recommend practical soltions.

Deliver clear, accrate and insightfl risk reporting to senior stakeholders.

Spport bsiness leaders in strengthening ownership and accontability for risk.

Promote a strong risk cltre throgh coaching, training and awareness activities.

Provide risk inpt on key projects, bsiness change and transformation programmes.

Work with aditors, reglators and other assrance partners as reqired.

Inflence strategic decisions throgh balanced, commercially focsed risk advice.

Skills and experience yo need:

Strong operational risk, enterprise risk or governance experience.

Experience working within a reglated financial services environment.

Ability to bild trsted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Clear and confident commnication skills.

Strong leadership and people development skills.

Comfortable providing constrctive challenge and independent thinking.

Strategic mindset with sond commercial jdgement.

Ability to interpret complex information and trn it into practical action.

Collaborative approach with a focs on continos improvement.
