Training Co-ordinator

Hymans Robertson LLP Birmingham, United Kingdom
Training Co-ordinator
The Vacancy

Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic administration team with a varied portfolio of clients. They play a key part in providing our clients and members with a market-leading service on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC) and CARE pension arrangements.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join this department as a Training Co-ordinator, within our Technical Training team in either Glasgow, Edinburgh or Birmingham.

What will your role look like?
As a Training Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of learning and development across our TPA Business Unit. Working closely with the TPA Technical Training Manager and TPA People Leader, you'll help coordinate a range of technical training and personal development activities, ensuring colleagues have access to high-quality learning opportunities.

Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
  • Maintaining colleague data, training groups and learning records, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinating training enrolments, attendance logs, reminders and mandatory learning.
  • Maintaining TPA learning and development SharePoint sites.
  • Supporting the production and ongoing development of training courses and materials.
  • Coordinating registrations for professional examinations and memberships of professional institutions.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for colleagues undertaking professional training, apprenticeships or qualifications.
  • Managing the TPA induction process for new joiners and identifying opportunities to improve the experience.
  • Organising internal and external learning activities, courses and team events.
  • Coordinating people development programmes, including People Manager and Career Development initiatives.
  • Supporting diversity, equity and inclusion activities.
  • Preparing monthly management information and KPIs.
  • Monitoring planned and actual spend against the TPA training budget.
  • Supporting colleague communications by producing clear newsflashes and information updates.
  • Providing coordination and project management support across a range of learning and people initiatives.

To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Experience of working in a service-focused role where delivering a high-quality user experience is important.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep activities on track.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Clear, concise and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong coordination and project management skills.
  • A collaborative and consultative approach, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving, with an interest in improving processes and service delivery.
  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience.

We would also encourage applications from candidates who perhaps do not possess all the attributes and experience listed above but are competent with the majority and would be able to quickly develop the additional skills and experience required in post with our full support. We would also love to hear about other knowledge and experience you may have that is not listed but could be of interest.

In addition to a competitive salary and access to our profit share scheme, we offer:
  • A flexible selection of employee benefits, so you can choose a package that best matches your lifestyle and needs.
  • A collaborative and encouraging work environment where your thinking and ideas are encouraged.
  • On site mental health and wellbeing assistance.
  • A commitment to helping you develop both personally and professionally, with mentoring opportunities and access to our award-winning learning portal, Aspire.
  • Regular social activities, in addition to three days paid volunteering leave each year and a day's leave to celebrate your birthday.
  • Hybrid working so you can enjoy the positive wellbeing of working from home as well as the benefits of meeting colleagues in our sociable, modern office environments - with the expectation of two 'in-office' days per week.
  • A flexible working window, allowing colleagues the freedom to work flexibly between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

We offer hybrid working so you can enjoy the wellbeing benefits of working from home, alongside the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in our modern and sociable office environments.

Please note - we recruit on a rolling basis for immediately available opportunities and progress candidates as soon as their applications are received. Therefore, we'd encourage you to apply to this role as early as possible to avoid any disappointment.

We are committed to being open and transparent in our recruitment and reward processes. Please note that this vacancy does not currently meet the minimum salary threshold requirements for Skilled Worker sponsorship within the UK.

To avoid any disappointment, if you require sponsorship we would encourage you to check whether you may be eligible for a discounted salary threshold, or to explore alternative routes to secure your right to work in the UK before submitting your application. If you meet the criteria outlined in the job description we'll be happy to discuss your individual circumstances further with you.
