Solicitors at all levels , including
Associate, Senior Associate and Partner , to join our expanding Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team across our Leeds, Sheffield and York offices.

You will work on a varied caseload, including complex and high-net-worth matters, while helping to build and strengthen long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a varied caseload of Wills, Probate, Tax & Trust matters, including complex and high-value cases.

Provide clear, practical advice to clients across all aspects of wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, and tax planning.

Draft and prepare a wide range of wills tailored to clients' individual circumstances and objectives.

Handle complex and high-value estate administrations from instruction through to completion.

Advise clients on inheritance tax planning, succession planning, and wealth preservation strategies.

Provide guidance on the implications of death, divorce, and bankruptcy in relation to lifetime gifting and asset protection.

Establish, administer, and advise on a variety of trust structures.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering an exceptional standard of client care at all times.

Ensure files, case management systems, and matter records are maintained accurately and kept up to date.

Support departmental compliance requirements, audits, and quality assurance processes as required.

Actively contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth of the Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts team across Leeds, Sheffield and York.

For senior lawyers and Partner-level candidates, there will be opportunities to contribute to strategic growth initiatives, mentoring and leadership within the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with significant experience managing your own Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts caseload with minimal supervision.

Demonstrate strong technical expertise across wills, probate, trusts, inheritance tax planning, estate administration and wider private client matters.

Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to clients and other stakeholders.

Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct.

Be able to work independently, effectively prioritise competing demands and consistently meet deadlines.

Deliver exceptional client care, building and maintaining trusted, long-term client relationships.

Take a proactive and motivated approach to your work, with a genuine desire to contribute to the continued success and growth of the team.

Demonstrate strong organisational and matter management skills, ensuring work is progressed efficiently and accurately.

Have an aptitude for networking, business development and identifying opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and generate new business.

Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the wider firm.

For Senior Associate and Partner-level candidates, experience of mentoring and developing junior lawyers, generating new business, developing key client relationships and supporting team growth will be highly valued. Partner candidates with an existing following are encouraged to apply, although this is not essential for individuals who can demonstrate a strong track record of business development, client relationship management and practice growth.
