Interim Client Accountant - Qube

Rate: £300-£350 per day

Cobalt is working with an established property management business to appoint an Interim Client Accountant for a focused six-week assignment.

This opportunity would suit a Client Accountant with hands-on Qube experience who can take ownership of monthly three-way reconciliations, resolve existing differences and leave the accounts team with a clear process they can manage independently.

The organisation

Our client is an established business operating within the property management sector. Its accounts team currently completes standard bank reconciliations and is looking for additional Qube expertise to strengthen the monthly client money reconciliation process.

The successful Interim Client Accountant will work directly with the existing accounts team, combining hands-on reconciliation work with practical guidance.

The role and responsibilities

The Interim Client Accountant will focus on ensuring the client bank account, Qube cash book and nominal ledger reconcile correctly each month.

Key responsibilities include:

* Completing monthly nominal and three-way reconciliations within Qube.

* Reconciling the client bank account, Qube cash book and nominal ledger.

* Investigating and resolving existing reconciling items and discrepancies.

* Documenting outstanding differences clearly and maintaining appropriate supporting information.

* Establishing a repeatable monthly reconciliation process that supports client money audit requirements.

* Providing practical guidance and training so the accounts team can independently complete the process going forward.

The skills needed

This assignment requires practical Qube experience rather than experience limited to reviewing or overseeing the reconciliation process.

The Interim Client Accountant will need:

* Strong working knowledge of Qube or Qube PM, including hands-on reconciliation work.

* Working knowledge of nominal ledger and three-way reconciliations.

* An understanding of client bank accounts, cash books and nominal ledgers.

* Experience investigating and resolving reconciling items.

* An understanding of client money controls.

* Experience supporting or training colleagues on accounting processes.

* Availability to start at short notice for a six-week interim assignment.

Exposure to RICS or client money audits would be advantageous.

This is a focused opportunity for an Interim Client Accountant to use their Qube expertise to resolve existing reconciliation issues while establishing a process the team can continue to use after the assignment ends.
