About the client

As part of a small and experienced team of devs sat directly with the business, you will help develop and operate an in-house portfolio management platform used by business teams. This is a hands-on position covering the user interface, services and database, with the opportunity to work directly with the people who use the system.

Job description

• Develop features across a React/TypeScript front end, C#/.NET services and API, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Work with business users to understand requirements and design practical solutions.
• Build and improve SQL reporting and data processes using T-SQL and stored procedures.
• Support the application in production, investigate issues and contribute to reliable deployments and CI/CD processes.
• Help maintain the development tools and, when needed, support the IIS and Windows Server environment.

Requirements

• Substantial professional software development experience (8-10 years experience)
• Strong hands-on React and TypeScript experience.
• Strong database programming experience with T-SQL or PL/SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures and performance optimisation. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL is particularly relevant to this platform.
• Practical C#/.NET development experience (or other programming languages)
• Experience deploying and supporting production applications.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating with technical colleagues and business stakeholders.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
