Internship - AI Engineer - AI in Enterprise Java Application Frameworks

Artificial Intelligence is progressively becoming a core capability of modern enterprise systems. Lombard Odier is exploring how AI services can be integrated into strategic application frameworks to accelerate development, improve user experience and unlock new business capabilities.

You will join the Architecture team and contribute to the definition of future AI integration patterns for Java-based applications built on Spring Boot and Quarkus.

YOUR ROLE

• Evaluate and prototype AI capabilities that can be integrated into enterprise application frameworks used across the bank.

• Research emerging AI technologies and enterprise use cases.
• Explore AI integration patterns for Spring Boot and Quarkus applications.
• Evaluate Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-based architectures.
• Build proof-of-concepts demonstrating AI-enhanced application capabilities.
• Collaborate with software architects and engineering teams.
• Document findings and propose recommendations for future adoption.

YOUR PROFILE

• Master's student in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Good Java development skills.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and cloud-native technologies.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Quarkus or modern application frameworks.
• Curious mindset and willingness to experiment.

• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
