We are partnering with a well-established global asset management organisation to appoint an experienced Operations Business Analyst to support Trade Repository (TR) reporting initiatives across key regulatory frameworks, including MAS and EMIR.

In this role, you will work closely with Operations Subject Matter Experts, Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance, and external service providers to drive regulatory reporting enhancements, remediation programmes, and strategic change initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of regulatory reporting processes while helping to strengthen and evolve the firm's regulatory reporting operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Reporting & Operations
  1. Support business and data-related initiatives across Trade Repository reporting, with a focus on MAS and EMIR regulatory obligations.
  2. Analyse end-to-end trade reporting workflows, including trade capture, enrichment, submission, reconciliation, exception management, and regulatory responses.
  3. Participate in regulatory remediation programmes arising from audits, regulatory reviews, internal assessments, or control enhancements.
  4. Collaborate with Operations teams to identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen reporting controls.

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  1. Engage stakeholders across Operations, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Data teams, and external vendors to gather and document business and functional requirements.
  2. Conduct impact assessments to evaluate current-state and future-state processes, systems, controls, and data flows.
  3. Produce clear and comprehensive business requirement documentation and facilitate stakeholder sign-off.
  4. Coordinate with third-party service providers to ensure alignment on project requirements, delivery timelines, and implementation considerations.

Data Analysis & Reconciliation
  1. Perform detailed analysis of trade, valuation, counterparty, and lifecycle event data to support regulatory reporting accuracy.
  2. Conduct reconciliations across internal systems, vendor platforms, and trade repositories to identify discrepancies and investigate root causes.
  3. Define and document control frameworks, exception management processes, and reporting validation checks.
  4. Support ongoing monitoring and enhancement of reporting quality controls.

Testing & Change Management
  1. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), pilot testing, model office exercises, and regulatory reporting change initiatives.
  2. Develop test scenarios, test cases, and validation plans to ensure regulatory and business requirements are adequately covered.
  3. Assist with implementation activities and post-deployment validation.
  4. Document future-state processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational guidelines.
  5. Maintain audit-ready documentation using established methodologies and standards.

Stakeholder & Project Support
  1. Partner with project teams and business stakeholders to track deliverables, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
  2. Provide reporting, analysis, and project support across regulatory reporting workstreams.
  3. Facilitate communication between business users, technology teams, and external providers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications
  1. Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience within Operations, Regulatory Reporting, or Post-Trade functions in Asset Management, Investment Management, Banking, or Financial Services.
  3. Hands-on experience with Trade Repository reporting, regulatory reporting, or post-trade operations.
  4. Knowledge of MAS and/or EMIR reporting requirements is highly advantageous.
  5. Experience working with investment management platforms such as Aladdin, Multifonds, or similar trade and data management systems.
  6. Proven experience in business analysis, process mapping, data analysis, and requirements management.
  7. Prior involvement in regulatory change programmes, remediation initiatives, UAT, or transformation projects.

Skills & Competencies
  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
  2. Good understanding of the trade lifecycle, front-to-back investment operations, and regulatory reporting processes.
  3. Ability to analyse large datasets across multiple systems and investigate data discrepancies independently.
  4. Strong documentation skills with experience producing business requirements, process maps, and operational procedures.
  5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Collaborative, proactive, and delivery-focused mindset with strong organisational skills.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, governance, and operational controls.
