Rebuild how one of the world’s largest banks runs Finance, and make AI the engine.

A Tier 1 global bank is creating a standalone leadership role to reinvent its Finance operating model. You will decide what Finance looks like in five years: fewer manual touchpoints, controls built in from day one, and AI agents doing work people used to dread. You will sit at the centre of the CFO organisation and lead a team of 10 to 15 across process excellence, AI and data. You will also be Finance’s voice on the bank-wide AI agenda. That means shaping where the enterprise invests and making sure Finance and Treasury are first in line for what works. London Singapore Hong Kong locations preferred.

What you will do

1. Own the Finance process excellence and AI strategy, turning a bold vision into a roadmap with measurable outcomes
2. Redesign end-to-end processes, controls and data across controllership, FP&A, regulatory reporting and treasury
3. Pioneer agentic AI, LLMs and intelligent automation in live Finance processes, then prove the benefit in cost, speed and accuracy
4. Represent Finance across bank-wide AI and transformation programmes, partnering with Technology, Data, Risk, Operations and the businesses
5. Help set the bank’s standards for responsible AI, model risk and control
6. Build, coach and lead a high-performing team, and be the face of AI adoption across the function

What you bring

1. A track record delivering large-scale Finance transformation in a Tier 1 bank or comparable regulated institution, with 15+ years in Finance and Accounting
2. Quantifiable results: lower cost, faster close, better forecasting, stronger controls
3. Applied understanding of generative AI and AI agents in Finance, such as forecasting, reconciliations and reporting
4. A strong grasp of AI governance, regulatory expectations and control frameworks
5. Hands-on command of SAP and other ERPs, cloud and enterprise AI platforms, and process tools such as ARIS, Signavio or Celonis
6. A professional qualification (CA, CPA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent) valued; Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt a plus
7. The gravitas to influence senior leadership and the courage to say what needs to be said
