As AVP, Creative Technology, you will work at the intersection of design and engineering, using technology to explore ideas and turn them into working experiences. You will prototype alongside designers, build across the full technology stack and apply emerging technologies, including AI, to solve real customer and business problems. The role combines strong engineering capability with design sensibility, experimentation and the ability to take promising ideas through to production.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work alongside designers from the earliest stages, using technical possibilities and constraints to help shape the experience rather than simply implementing a finished design.

1. Rapidly prototype new interactions and experiences to test both the design concept and underlying technology.

1. Develop high-quality front-end experiences across web and mobile, with strong attention to interaction quality, responsiveness, performance and accessibility.

1. Build the backend services, APIs and integrations required to turn concepts and prototypes into working end-to-end experiences.

1. Explore emerging technologies and interaction models, identifying where they can meaningfully improve customer and advisor experiences.

1. Develop conversational and agentic AI experiences, including retrieval, context engineering, tool integration, evaluation and appropriate guardrails.

1. Build reusable front-end components and contribute to the design system so successful approaches can scale consistently across digital platforms.

1. Work with architecture and engineering teams to take validated concepts towards production, shaping technical solutions and making appropriate trade-offs.

1. Write secure, well-tested and maintainable code, with appropriate care in handling customer data

We are looking for people who

1. Have a strong portfolio, code repository or set of working prototypes demonstrating both engineering capability and the creative application of technology to experience problems.

1. Are full-stack engineers with strong front-end capability, a good appreciation of interaction and visual design and the ability to work closely with designers from concept through implementation.

1. Are natural experimenters who can move quickly from an emerging technology or interaction idea to something tangible that can be tested and evaluated.

1. Are strong in modern web and cross-platform mobile development and comfortable working across the stack, including backend services, APIs and integrations.

1. Have practical experience building with generative AI models and agentic frameworks, with a strong understanding of retrieval, context engineering, tool integration, evaluation, guardrails and where these approaches have limitations.

1. Can move comfortably between rapid prototypes and production-quality solutions that need to perform reliably at scale.

1. Can take an ambiguous problem, shape a technical solution and clearly explain the choices and trade-offs involved.

1. Apply strong engineering discipline, including meaningful testing, maintainable code and secure handling of customer data.

1. Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences and work effectively across design, business and technology teams.

1. Have experience building customer-facing digital platforms that integrate with enterprise systems, APIs and data services, with an understanding of modern and legacy technology environments.

1. Have 6 or more years of experience in software engineering, creative technology or a related discipline, and hold a degree in Computing, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
