THE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT TEAM WORKS WITH BUSINESS DIVISIONS AND PROJECT-PROMOTION TEAMS TO IDENTIFY BUSINESS CHALLENGES, CONDUCT PROOF-OF-CONCEPTS, DEVELOP PRODUCTS, AND MANAGE PRODUCTION OPERATIONS AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT. THE TEAM IS DEVELOPING A WIDE RANGE OF AI PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, INCLUDING THE MEETING-RECORD AUTOMATION APPLICATION MENKI-KUN, THE MIZUHO SLIDE GENERATOR, THE RESEARCH-SUPPORT SOLUTION MIZUHO DEEP RESEARCH ADVANCE, THE SALES-SUPPORT SOLUTION RM STUDIO, AND THE CUSTOMER-FACING SERVICE AOMARU BANK. Job Responsibilities

• Develop, run, and evaluate agile proof-of-concepts using Generative AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, and OpenAI.
• Design, build, and validate AI applications that enhance customer service and enable the creation of new digital services.
• Evaluate and select the most suitable Large Language Models (LLMs), and establish effective processes for LLM testing, evaluation and operations.
• Conduct technical research on LLMs and develop innovative LLM-powered features and functions.
• Craft and refine prompts, while identifying, proposing, and resolving operational challenges related in LLM applications in close collaboration with AI Tech Leads.
• Generate test data and manage data cleansing data processing to support reliable AI development and evaluation.
• Build AI-enabled business support applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, including meeting record tools, interview record tools, and internal inquiry tools.
• Assess the use of different AI models and plugins, explore fine-tuning approaches, and contribute to the development and evaluation of Mizuho's proprietary models.

Job Requirements
Requirements:

• Fluency in Japanese, both spoken and written) is required.

• 2-3 years of direct development in either: frontend or backend development using TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies; or backend or infrastructure development using Python and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in a cloud environment, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong interest in Generative, with a focus on applying AI to improve business efficiency and deliver meaningful business impact.
• Ability to work with modern development workflows and collaborate across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience building applications with modern TypeScript frameworks such as Next.js or React.
• Experience developing backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Prior experience building or contributing to systems that use Generative AI.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, as well as model or application tuning to improve performance and usability.
• Experience working collaboratively in teams of five or more members, with strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to share ideas, contribute to discussions, and help drive the delivery of high-quality products.
