Purpose of Job:

The Product Launch Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery and launch of new products, product enhancements, and strategic initiatives across the Consumer Banking portfolio. The role ensures seamless coordination across business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, marketing, and external partners to successfully bring products to market on time and within scope.

TASKS
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Product Launch & Delivery Management

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of new product launches, portfolio enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, launch roadmaps, and milestone trackers.
• Coordinate launch activities across business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, finance, and marketing teams.
• Drive project execution to ensure delivery against agreed timelines, scope, and business objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation processes throughout the product lifecycle

Market Readiness & Go-to-Market Execution

• Coordinate all launch readiness activities, ensuring products are operationally, commercially, and technically prepared for market launch.
• Work closely with Marketing and Product teams to support go-to-market strategies, customer propositions, and launch campaigns.
• Develop launch checklists, readiness assessments, and post-launch monitoring frameworks.
• Ensure product documentation, operational procedures, and customer communications are completed prior to launch.

Business Case & Commercial Support

• Support the development of business cases, financial models, and investment proposals for new products and initiatives.
• Track business case assumptions, launch costs, and expected business benefits.
• Analyze product performance, customer adoption, portfolio growth, and commercial outcomes post-launch.
• Identify opportunities to enhance product performance and customer experience

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the central point of coordination between Product, Technology, Operations, Digital, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams.
• Drive alignment on project priorities, deliverables, resource requirements, and launch timelines.
• Facilitate working groups, project forums, and stakeholder updates.
• Ensure timely resolution of project blockers and escalation of critical issues.

Regulatory, Risk & Operational Readiness

• Coordinate approvals across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Fraud, Operations, and Regulatory teams.
• Ensure all product launches meet internal governance requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
• Support product due diligence, risk assessments, process reviews, and operational readiness activities.
• Track closure of launch prerequisites, controls, and audit requirements.

Performance Management & Reporting

• Monitor project progress, launch readiness status, and key delivery milestones.
• Prepare executive updates, steering committee materials, and leadership presentations.
• Develop project dashboards and KPI reporting for launch performance.
• Conduct post-launch reviews, lessons learned sessions, and benefits realization tracking

Knowledge and Experience
Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10 -15 years of experience in Product Management, Product Launch, Program Management, Cards, Payments, Digital Banking, or Financial Services.

Technical & Functional Knowledge

• Strong understanding of cards, payments, retail banking products, and customer journeys.
• Knowledge of product development, launch management, and go-to market processes.
• Familiarity with card issuance platforms, digital banking ecosystems, and operational workflows.
• Experience in business case development, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
• Understanding of regulatory, risk, compliance, and operational requirements for financial products.
