Your role

We're looking for an experienced Requirements Engineer to:

• deeply understand the needs of local tax regulators and our stakeholders and translate them into the requirement backlog in order to deliver sustainable software solutions.
• provide engineering and analytical expertise to support pre-inceptions and evaluate solutions together with the product owner, stakeholders and peers.
• design and review test cases, support the testing colleagues in execution and working closely with the QA team to validate requirements through testing, ensuring that the delivered solution meets the specified requirements
• collaborate with cross-functional scrum teams on iterative deliverables to meet the business goals within an agile software delivery framework.
• understand business use cases for front-to-back flows of order lifecycle and act as intermediary between development team and stakeholders.
• structure and document requirements, including user stories and acceptance criteria, in an easy to understand and effective manner and work with development team for software delivery.
• identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements and conduct as-is and to-be impact analysis.
• ensure the quality of the product from functional and non-functional requirements and cost efficiency perspective.

Your team

You will be part of crew Receiving Services Post Trade in stream Trade and Transfer Assets working in a team located in Doha. You will be supported by a strong, knowledgeable and functionally experienced team working in our Regulatory Tax Reporting pods located in Zürich and Doha.

Our mission is to correctly reported UBS holdings and transactions to local tax authorities in time and with quality; for clients booked in Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Germany and Italy.

Your expertise

• experience working in a banking environment with a global setup.
• experience with reporting standards like CRS, and regulatory reporting like AEI, FACTA and CARF.
• experience in test design, test execution and in automating new or modify existing test cases.
• business requirements refinement and translating them into suitable, cost-effective IT products.
• ability to articulate ideas, business processes and solutions to a wide audience in a non-technical manner and coordinate stakeholder/manage stakeholders.
• process flow analysis skills and use case modelling from an end-to-end perspective including UML models such as business concept diagrams, state diagrams.
• experience working in a demanding, globally distributed and team-based environment and ability to work independently.
• strong analytical and problem solving skills with transparent and clear communication/coordination skills
• experience in agile working practices.
• you are curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment - validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use
