Client Profile - Quality Accountancy Firm, Kildare

Our client is a long-established accountancy firm based in Kildare. They provide a mix of accounts preparation, audit, tax and business consultancy to medium and smaller corporate businesses and high-net-worth clients in Leinster and Dublin. They have a reputation for quality and delivery of client expectations.

Over the next 12 months, the focus of the Management team is to grow their business by acquisition of new clients and by developing the existing service lines to their clients. To assist with this process they are seeking to recruit a commercially focused Tax Manager.

Position: Taxation Manager (Part-time)

They are interested in recruiting an experienced tax professional who will work with them to develop their tax offering to clients. The candidate will have full responsibility for managing the non-routine tax affairs of each client (the audit staff finalise routine tax compliance). The focus of the role will be around providing tax advice and handling tax planning/consultancy for their clients. Due to the quality of the service they provide, there is an ongoing requirement on the firm to provide advanced taxation solutions. There is an ongoing supply of interesting and challenging consultancy and planning assignments. Additionally, the Tax Manager will:

• Develop and publish tax briefings for clients
• Advising staff internally and clients on legislative changes with regard to taxation
• Advising high-net-worth clients regarding business and investment matters
• Assist with developing new clients and increasing fee income for the tax division

The role is highly challenging and will allow the candidate to become involved in providing solid taxation solutions.

Candidate should have a number of years experience managing taxation assignments for a client base similar to the above.

Client Skills

Due to the type of client, the candidate must have the personality to work with demanding client issues and resolve. Must be confident and be capable of developing sustainable personal client relationships.

Who will the role suit?

Will ideally suit an experienced Tax Manager seeking a challenging role, but for personal reasons be interested in reducing hours. They may currently be employed within a larger practice and feel the need to take more "ownership" of their clients and more importantly their career.
