Description

As Manager - Engineering, you will lead teams responsible for maintaining and modernising web applications and software platforms, while integrating agentic AI capabilities into new and existing solutions. You will play a critical role in driving team cohesion, ensuring seamless application functionality, enhancing performance, and creating intelligent systems that can autonomously optimise business processes.

Working closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers, you will help refine user requirements, deliver AI-driven features, and accelerate software development using generative AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional, generative AI-focused software development team.
• Integrate LLM APIs into existing platforms to enhance user interactions, decision-making, and automation capabilities.
• Enhance applications with agentic AI capabilities to enable autonomous decision-making and improve business workflows.
• Work collaboratively across product, data science and engineering teams to develop AI-driven features and optimise system performance.

• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

Stay current with advancements in LLMs, generative AI, and cloud technologies, and apply relevant innovations to improve platform capability and performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• At least 5 years' experience in a senior delivery role.
• A degree in technology is preferable, but not essential if the experience criteria are met.

Essential

• Proven experience delivering complex software products or platforms.
• Proven experience delivering complex digital transformation programmes using Agile principles.
• Strong understanding of agile, lean, and flow-based delivery practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyse data and use metrics to guide decisions.
• Skilled facilitator able to lead discussions, workshops, and ceremonies.

Desirable

• Experience working in large, multi-team environments or platform engineering settings.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering workflows.
• Background in coaching teams in agile or flow-based methodologies.
• Ability to work with distributed or hybrid teams.
