Job Description

• Design, develop and maintain end-to-end applications across frontend, backend and cloud environments
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to system design decisions
• Lead the development and delivery of new features, enhancements and platform capabilities
• Perform code reviews and promote software engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues in collaboration with business and technical teams
• Implement security controls including authentication, authorisation, encryption and risk mitigation measures
• Produce high-quality, scalable and well-documented code following established coding standards
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure project deliverables meet quality, timeline and budget expectations
• Support Agile ceremonies and contribute to SCRUM-based project delivery
• Assist in production support activities and critical incident resolution when required
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across development, deployment and operational processes

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of full-stack development experience with at least 5 years in a technical leadership capacity
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular, Node.js, React, JavaScript and Azure cloud technologies
• Experience working with Azure databases, AKS and cloud-native application development
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins and version control systems
• Good understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture
• Exposure to Alibaba Cloud, PolarDB or AI-related technologies would be advantageous
• Solid knowledge of application performance tuning, coding standards and software quality practices
• Proven ability to mentor developers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong project delivery and stakeholder management experience
• Exposure to insurance, claims platforms or financial services systems is highly desirable
• Passion for emerging technologies and innovation
