As a senior member of the technology organisation, you'll play a key role in delivering strategic technology initiatives across the trading platform ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of large-scale technology initiatives supporting electronic trading platforms and market infrastructure.

• Working closely with business users, product owners and technology teams to understand requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

• Providing technical oversight throughout the full project lifecycle, from solution design through implementation and production rollout.

• Acting as the primary technology contact across multiple stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks and delivery milestones.

• Driving architecture discussions to ensure systems remain scalable, resilient and capable of supporting growing business demands.

• Managing technical dependencies across multiple applications, infrastructure teams and third-party vendors.

• Leading critical incident management, root cause analysis and long-term platform improvements.

• Identifying delivery risks early and coordinating mitigation plans across engineering and business teams.

• Promoting engineering best practices, operational excellence and continuous improvement across technology teams.

We're looking for someone who can comfortably navigate both technical discussions and executive-level conversations.

Successful candidates will typically bring:

• Extensive experience delivering complex technology platforms within capital markets or other mission-critical environments.

• Strong understanding of modern distributed systems, high-availability architecture and performance-sensitive applications.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional technology projects involving multiple stakeholder groups.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured approach to managing complex initiatives.

• Experience balancing business priorities, technical constraints and delivery timelines.

• A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build credibility across engineering and business teams.

Experience in the following areas would be highly advantageous:

• Electronic trading, exchange technology or capital markets platforms.

• Order management systems, execution platforms, market data or post-trade systems.

• Low-latency, high-throughput distributed applications.

• Production support within highly available, business-critical environments.

• Technology governance, operational resilience and risk management.

• Software engineering experience in Java, C++, Python or other enterprise technologies.

• Working with external vendors, market participants or regulatory stakeholders.
