Reliability Engineer

The Reliability Engineer role supports the management, monitoring, and maintenance of our client’s electronic trading infrastructure across multiple exchanges and asset classes. This position is integral to ensuring the stability and optimal performance of critical trading systems within a high-performance environment.

The role reports to senior technical managers and requires close collaboration with trading, risk management, business, and compliance teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting production systems, contributing to system design enhancements, and serving as a primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges. Success in this role involves effectively resolving system issues, maintaining system health, and supporting platform reliability.

• Manage the deployment and operation of Order Management Systems and Market Data Delivery Systems.

• Collaborate with trading and technical teams to understand and meet system requirements.

• Provide level one and level two support for production systems.

• Contribute to designing and implementing support systems to improve system reliability.

• Monitor and report on system health and performance.

• Serve as the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges.

• Maintain on-call coverage outside business hours as needed.

• Hold the right to work on-site in the specified location.

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree.

• Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in the finance industry.

• Proficient in Python scripting and/or other scripting languages such as Perl, Bash, or Shell.

• Have in-depth knowledge of Linux OS, Kernel, scheduling, and performance tuning.

• Possess strong understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, and multicast.

• Have knowledge of SQL, MongoDB, and database use.
