Your new role
As a Credit Evaluation Manager, you will be responsible for conducting independent credit assessments on corporate clients and supporting sound credit decision-making across the bank's lending portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive credit analysis on corporate and commercial banking clients.
- Evaluate financial statements, cash flow projections, industry trends, and business risks.
- Prepare credit assessment reports and recommendations for approval committees.
- Review and recommend credit facilities, including term loans, revolving facilities, trade finance, and treasury-related exposures.
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify emerging credit risks.
- Conduct annual reviews, covenant monitoring, and portfolio risk assessments.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers to structure credit facilities and provide risk perspectives.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite frameworks.
- Participate in credit approval processes and portfolio management initiatives.
- Support ad hoc projects relating to credit risk management, policy enhancement, and regulatory requirements
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience in corporate credit analysis, credit evaluation, or credit risk management within banking.
- Strong understanding of corporate financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience evaluating mid-market and large corporate exposures across various industries.
- Familiarity with syndicated loans, trade finance, and treasury-related credit facilities is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and banking industry practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional Asian language capabilities would be advantageous.
