Job Description
As a Digital Product Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own and manage the digital product roadmap for Transaction Banking and FX products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Define clear product outcomes, KPIs, and success metrics, prioritising initiatives that maximise customer value, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute a digital strategy informed by customer insights, market trends, competitive analysis, and emerging technologies.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from opportunity identification and business case development through to implementation, launch, and post-launch performance management.
- Define product requirements and user stories, working closely with design, technology, operations, compliance, and business teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Drive agile delivery practices using Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies, ensuring timely execution and continuous value delivery.
- Monitor product performance and leverage data-driven insights to optimise customer experience and commercial outcomes.
- Act as the voice of the customer by leveraging user research, customer interviews, usability testing, and analytics to identify pain points and prioritise enhancements.
- Partner with Product Design teams to create seamless and consistent customer experiences across digital channels while maintaining profitability and productivity objectives.
- Continuously evaluate market developments, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure the bank's digital proposition remains market-leading.
- Ensure all digital initiatives comply with internal governance standards, banking regulations, risk controls, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with control functions and stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk assessment and regulatory adherence throughout the product lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and reduce operational costs.
- Drive initiatives that improve scalability, increase productivity, and enhance the overall client experience.
A successful Digital Product Manager should have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Product Management, preferably within financial services, banking, fintech, or payments.
- Strong knowledge of Payments and/or Foreign Exchange (FX) products, ideally within Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Treasury Services, or related digital channels.
- Proven track record of delivering customer-centric digital products and using customer insights to drive product decisions and prioritisation.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyse data, evaluate business performance, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across cross-functional, regional, and multicultural teams.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate strategic vision into actionable execution plans.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity, balancing competing priorities, and maintaining delivery momentum in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, accountable, collaborative, and results-oriented with a positive and proactive approach.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) is required.
