About the Role

A well-established banking organisation is seeking a Manager, Electronic Banking Services to lead a specialist team responsible for the delivery and continuous improvement of digital banking and payment services.
This role sits within a key operational function supporting corporate and private banking clients, working closely with front office teams, operational stakeholders, customers, and technology partners. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring digital banking services remain secure, efficient, and aligned with evolving client requirements.
The position combines people leadership with operational ownership, covering electronic banking platforms, payment services, customer access administration, card-related services, and digital transformation initiatives. The role will also contribute to the introduction of new technologies, automation opportunities, and service enhancements across the customer lifecycle.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team responsible for electronic banking and digital client services.
  • Oversee the delivery and ongoing enhancement of digital banking products and payment-related services.
  • Drive improvements across electronic banking processes, onboarding activities, and customer administration workflows.
  • Ensure effective management of secure user access, authentication controls, and entitlement frameworks across digital banking platforms.
  • Maintain oversight of cash management, payment, and treasury-related operational processes.
  • Manage card services and support the ongoing evolution of customer payment solutions.
  • Partner with technology teams to deliver system upgrades, platform enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and increase operational efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of innovative digital services, including AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
  • Monitor operational risks, controls, and service quality standards across the function.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure service excellence.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing digital capabilities and customer experience.


About You

  • Experience within banking, transaction banking, payments, cash management, or electronic banking environments.
  • Previous people management or team leadership experience with responsibility for coaching and performance development.
  • Strong understanding of electronic banking platforms and digital banking service delivery.
  • Knowledge of payment operations, cash management, and client servicing processes.
  • Experience managing customer access, user administration, and authorisation controls.
  • Exposure to card services, payment solutions, or related banking products.
  • Proven experience delivering process improvement, operational change, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders, customers, and technology teams.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and service governance within a regulated environment.
  • Comfortable working with automation technologies and emerging digital solutions.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a structured approach to problem solving.
