ROLE SUMMARY:
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role sits within the Enterprise Functions Engineering (EFE) capability, with a primary focus on driving reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across Oracle Cloud ERP and satellite finance applications, will focus on reducing operational toil through automation within Oracle Fusion applications & its PAAS features, improving system performance and embedding SRE practices.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role sits within the Enterprise Functions Engineering (EFE) capability, with a primary focus on driving reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across Oracle Cloud ERP and satellite finance applications, will focus on reducing operational toil through automation within Oracle Fusion applications & its PAAS features, improving system performance and embedding SRE practices.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Architect, design, and oversee the development and configuration of advanced technical components for Oracle ERP Cloud modules, including integrations, reports, and data conversions.
- Solution Design and Development- Designing and developing integration solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle Fusion applications.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
- Participating in the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Staying up to date with emerging Oracle technologies and best practices and providing recommendations to clients for new technology solutions.
- Providing input into project plans, timelines.
- Communicating effectively with clients, project managers, and other team members to ensure that technical solutions are delivered on-time and within budget.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL code, ensuring efficient, high-performing, and secure data processing to support integration requirements.
- Implement and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based services to connect disparate applications.
- Apply integration design patterns, error handling, and security best practices during solution development.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues in integration flows and related components.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency in integration processes.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Integration Development- Building integrations using various OIC adapters (File/FTP, DB, REST, SOAP, ERP Cloud, etc.), FBDI, and HDL.
- Process Automation- Developing and optimizing automated workflows using OIC's process automation capabilities.
- Data Transformation- Transforming data to ensure compatibility between different systems.
- Testing and Validation- Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
- Documentation- Creating and maintaining documentation for integration processes and configurations.
- Collaborate with team members to understand business processes and technical requirements, translating them into strategic Oracle Cloud application solutions.
- Direct fit-gap analysis, technical documentation, code development and unit testing, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Provide expert guidance in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- 7 - 10 years of technical experience in Oracle Cloud implementation with expertise in Oracle development tools (e.g., Reports-BI Publisher, OIC Integrations, FBDIs etc.)
- Architect and oversee the design and development of enterprise-grade integrations in OIC with Oracle ERP Cloud, including REST/SOAP calls, FBDI/HDL file uploads, and BI Publisher data extraction.
- Provide strategic technical leadership and mentorship for integration teams, ensuring best practices and optimal performance.
- Direct the implementation of complex inbound and outbound integrations between Oracle Cloud and third-party applications.
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in XSD, WSDL, SOAP, XSLT, JSON, and REST for integration architecture and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Should have experience building integration in OIC using REST/SOAP Services, building and uploading FBDI Files to Oracle ERP Cloud
- Hands-On Experience on data migration/integration methods i.e., SOAP and Rest Web Services, FBDI and ADFDI
- Hands-On Experience on reporting tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View and FRS reports
- Good Knowledge on building custom ESS jobs
- Hands-on with development & unit testing of integration components & web services (SOAP/REST) using OIC
- Must have experience in Oracle Database SQL,PL/SQL
- Oracle ERP and HCM integration delivery using Oracle Integration Cloud
- Should have the ability to collect requirements, build high level design documents, low level design documents, and deployments documents.
- Multi domain expertise and knowledge on other integration tools are an advantage.
- Knowledge on Agile scrum and waterfall methodology
- Any Oracle Certification is an added key advantage.
- Ability to research, learn, troubleshoot and support complex system customizations.
- Global experience - working optimally with teams in multiple locations simultaneously .
ITIL Foundation certification or strong working knowledge if ITIL framework and its processes.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage critical incidents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Passion for improving systems through automation and engineering solutions.
- ITIL / SRE / Cloud / AI certifications are a plus.
