Finance Manager
Key Functions and Responsibilities A. Financial and Accounting Management
• Oversee the accurate accounting of operations in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable accounting closings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the timely filing of tax returns and other statutory obligations.
• Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls.
• Identify and correct deviations, errors, or inefficiencies that could result in financial or operational risks or losses.
• Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
• Ensure that key financial and accounting processes are properly documented and kept up to date.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of financial information used by local management and headquarters. B. Treasury and Financial Risk Management
• Manage cash flow and liquidity for the Shanghai and Hong Kong entities.
• Ensure sufficient financial resources are available to support the normal operation of both offices.
• Manage and monitor foreign exchange, financial, liquidity, and credit risks.
• Identify and promptly escalate financial, tax, or regulatory risks.
• Manage relationships with local banks and financial institutions.
• Recommend preventive and corrective measures to address significant financial risks. C. Reporting, Budgeting, and Management Control
• Prepare and consolidate periodic financial reports for local management and headquarters.
• Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and management analyses.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and identify significant variances.
• Provide clear and timely financial information to support management decision-making.
• Develop indicators to monitor the financial health and operational efficiency of the business. D. Automation and Process Improvement
• Lead the automation and standardization of financial, accounting, and administrative processes.
• Identify manual processes, duplication, and inefficiencies and develop improvement plans.
• Recommend and implement tools and systems that increase team productivity.
• Promote the use of technology and digital tools to reduce administrative workload and improve information quality.
• Design scalable processes that enable business growth without a proportional increase in operational workload. E. Human Resources Management
• Manage and oversee Human Resources processes for the Shanghai and Hong Kong offices.
• Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and safeguarding of employment contracts and labor documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local labor legislation.
• Monitor working hours, attendance, overtime, annual leave, other leave, and employee permissions.
• Coordinate administrative processes related to recruitment, onboarding, and employee termination.
• Oversee the accurate processing of payroll and employee benefits.
• Maintain labor records required by local regulations.
• Act as the main point of contact for labor advisors, lawyers, and Human Resources-related service providers. F. Administrative Management
• Oversee the proper administrative functioning of both offices.
• Maintain appropriate control and organization of corporate and administrative documentation.
• Manage service contracts, suppliers, and corporate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and corporate procedures.
• Coordinate administrative requirements necessary for the normal operation of the business. G. Team Leadership and Coordination
• Lead, organize, and develop the local finance team in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
• Clearly define responsibilities, priorities, and working standards.
• Monitor team performance and promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Shanghai/Hong Kong offices and Corporate Finance Management.
• Ensure transparent, timely, and effective communication with headquarters.
• Coordinate with other areas of the organization on processes with financial, administrative, or labor-related impact. 4. Scope of the Position The Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the financial and accounting management of Forever Fresh Shanghai and Hong Kong, as well as for the Human Resources and administrative processes of both entities. The position is accountable for ensuring that the operations under its responsibility are financially sound, efficient, well organized, and compliant with applicable local regulations and corporate policies. Performance in this role will be evaluated not only on the accurate and timely execution of financial and accounting responsibilities, but also on the ability to anticipate risks, develop the team, improve and automate processes, maintain effective administrative controls, and provide reliable information to support management decision-making.
