Job description

• Initial 12 month fixed term contract, with possibility of extension
• Up to $85k plus super
• Part time role, 3 days a week, 1 day a week in the Rhodes office

Lead initiatives that engage schools across NSW and ACT, supporting participation and driving community engagement with the organisation's scheme.

About the role:

• Develop and deliver a school engagement strategy, managing activities, budgets and project deliverables to drive participation in the scheme.
• Build and manage partnerships and sponsorships, including contracts with key organisations, ensuring deliverables are met and maximum reach and impact are achieved.
• Work collaboratively with schools, government, scheme partners and other stakeholders across NSW and ACT to facilitate participation and program delivery.
• Identify new opportunities and coordinate with communications and engagement teams to increase reach, support recycling behaviour change and engage key audiences.
• Manage school enquiries, events and stakeholder reporting, while ensuring brand integrity, consistent messaging and continuous improvement across activities.

About you:

• Experience working with NSW/ACT schools is highly desirable - this role would suit someone who has previously been a teacher and looking to transition into a different career path
• Demonstrated experience delivering community engagement programs that drive local behaviour change
• Strong networks and/or experience working with education organisations and local government is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and experience overseeing contracts with external groups
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and build strong relationships
