RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Work as an application developer on a global team responsible for Cash Equity, Listed Derivative and FICC middle office booking functions that are integral to the Firm's Private Wealth Management division. Work closely with Technology, Business and Compliance on the implementation effort of a strategic booking platform, using technologies, such as Java, DB2, C++, Javascript, JSON, SQL, HTML, Angular, or Sybase. Write software code to support growing business needs to drive scale and improve operational efficiency and new regulatory controls. Responsible for full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, Quality Assurance testing and production release. Work on a global software development team and communicate status/design effectively across multiple regions. Work on longer-term projects and on production support, enhancements and critical fixes to support existing suite of production applications and supporting infrastructure. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field plus two and a half (2.5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with: developing object-oriented software using Java or Python or C++; working with and developing for relational databases using Oracle or Sybase and SQL; User Interface technologies, including HTML, Javascript, AngularJS, and JSON; design patterns, Object Oriented Programming and best practices of coding; working across the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) of product development, including requirements gathering, Functional and Technical Design, Development, User Acceptance Testing, Release Procedures, Change Request Analysis, and Production Support; and working concurrently on multiple development projects. Must have one and a half (1.5) years of experience with: trade and order management systems from a functional perspective; and communicating with various business stakeholders, such as business unit or technology leaders, to understand their asks and work closely with them to address their production needs and strategic asks.
