Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Develop applications and tools that support Credit Risk Management (CRM) Division. Work with business users to implement pricing of financial instruments and to run scenario testing and analysis. Implement credit risk exposure calculation and regulatory capital calculations including Basel3 and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR). Implement tools to analyze changes in credit risk exposure due to underlying risk factors. Perform system design and implementation to run risk calculations on a multi-tier architecture using distributed computing environment. Work with model validation team to complete testing and model validation for stochastic models to simulate risk factors for derivatives. Work with a global team of engineers to deliver projects covering all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Provide level 3 support for Credit Risk users to solve intraday system issues and answer their questions on exposure metrics like Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) and Funding Valuation Adjustment (FVA). Interact with business users for requirement analysis, user acceptance testing of new features and support. Contribute to technical design and provide technical guidance to junior team members. Design and implement processes that depend on each other and are executed via job scheduling tools. Prioritize goals, schedule tasks and oversee delivery for regulatory filings like CCAR. Must be willing to learn and utilize proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technology is required pre-hire.

Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science, an Engineering discipline or relevant field. Five (5) years of experience with a Master's degree or seven (7) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: designing long-term plan for application development and modeling, including evolving strategic architecture to support scalability and high availability; system design, including process dependencies, job scheduling and maintenance; working with model validation and model enhancements, including designing appropriate testing techniques and working with model review group to ensure models are accurate and representative; programming with Python or other scripting languages; utilizing SQL queries to efficiently query and manipulate large database tables where reference information and computational output such credit exposures are stored. using relational databases such as Sybase ASE, Sybase IQ or DB2; capital markets and financial instruments, including experience assessing different sources and aspects of risks associated with them; working on financial models utilizing stochastic processes, including experience with statistical methods and data analysis; regulatory reporting such as Fed Stress Test (CCAR); participating in code reviews of peers; full project life-cycle for model implementation within a financial institution - including requirement initiation, definition, documentation, development, testing, go-live, post-go-live and production support; developing in both UNIX and Windows environments; working in a large financial institution; and implementation of risk models using programming languages such as python or C++.
