Assetservice technology at BNY Mellon has an immediate need for Senior Javaapplication developer and lead. We are looking for 12 plus years ofexperience. Work involves Java application development for Data warehouseand workflow implementation on BNY Cloud

Skillsrequired


  • 12 plus year Experience in core server side Javaprogramming

  • Hands on Knowledge around Sprint Boot micro service architecture, multi threading and cache design.

  • Working knowledge of REST, web/http services,JSON, messaging, real-time, authentication/authorization

  • Knowledge of automate build tools and continuous integration(Maven, Jenkins, Nexus etc.) strongly desired

  • Strong SQL knowledge across SQL Server, Sybase and Oracle

  • Experience in leading development team spanning across GeographicalLocations

  • Experience in working in AGILE setup with Product team

    PrimaryJob Responsibilities



  • Design and LeadDigital Product services towards timely delivery

  • Consults with internalbusiness groups to provide appropriate application software developmentservices and technical support.

  • Analyzes, defines anddocuments requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware andoperating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal andexternal checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard developmentmethodology.

  • Works with internalbusiness groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirementsof various applications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations toaddress and resolve business issues for a specific business group.

  • Contributes todefining timetables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility,cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.

  • Takes lead forestablishing, implementing and monitoring 'best practices' for technicaldevelopment methodologies and tools. Proposes innovative, creative technologysolutions. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

  • Participation in agilebased software development model

  • Work with Offshoreteam closely


Consults with internal business groups toprovide high-level application software development services or technicalsupport. Provides comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to ITmanagement and senior technical staffs. Evaluates compliance with theorganization's technology standards. Works with internal business groups onimplementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of variousapplications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address andresolve business issues for a specific business group. Guides and consults withIT management and technical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies andassociated services. Participates in defining corporate implementation andintegration strategies of new technologies. Advocates for innovative, creativetechnology solutions. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 10-12 years of experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
