Our Analyst role offers a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals to play a meaningful role in Jefferies' expanded technology investment banking practice, while gaining hands-on experience in M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged Finance for leading Technology companies. Analysts are active in day-to-day transaction execution while gaining client interaction and live deal experience on lean transaction teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials for multiple technology sectors
  • Compile a variety of financial analyses such as valuation, M&A scenarios, leveraged buyout analysis and three statement operational models
  • Draft private and public marketing materials such as offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, and S-1s
  • Develop target lists for potential buyers, investors and strategic partners
  • Conduct in-depth industry research and trend analysis
  • Mentor and train junior Analysts


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from a top tier institution with an outstanding academic record
  • 1-2 years investment banking transaction advisory execution experience preferably within a technology coverage or related group
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technology and finance
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity
  • Superb communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong valuation skills and significant valuation experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Lives in San Francisco or willing to relocate
  • Helpful but not required: A background in technology, such as technology banking or consulting, or an undergraduate degree and/or work experience in a technology/engineering field
