Exciting Quantitative Analyst position at a global investment company based in London.

A Global investment management firm are looking to hire a Quantitative analyst for their offices in London on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the investment process - alpha generation and extraction; portfolio management, construction and rotation; risk modelling; advising on investment; and investment research. The role will offer broad exposure to senior analysts and executives from throughout the firm, responsibility and autonomy from the outset and a broad scope for quick career progression.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Portfolio construction, management and rotation.

  • Extraction and generation of alpha signals from large data-sets.

  • Researching equity investment trends and advising on how best to benefit from opportunities.

  • Allocation of capital and involvement in Risk management.

Essential skills and experience:

  • A PhD in a quantitative discipline. Statistics post-grad degrees will be prioritised.

  • 3-6 years' experience working in a similar quantitative/investment environment - buy-side or sell-side.

  • Strong coding ability - preference for SQL, R and Python.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex mathematical models to non-technical senior individuals.

  • An appetite for knowledge and a desire to develop one's personal skillset.
