Overview

The Project Manager will be Responsible for managing projects or series of work-streams that deliver the business objectives to agreed time, cost and quality. Projects to be managed include business analysis, architecture, solution design, systems development, testing, security, Project QA, implementation and handover to operations / support.

Responsibilities

We're looking for someone who will establish, and where necessary define; shape, scope and requirements of project, and obtain the Sponsor approval with the support of the BRM. You will work with Business Project Manager as well as Sponsor to prepare relevant Business Case for review and investment decision.
You will demonstrate the ability to manage project planning budgets on a regular basis as well as manage the project to the standards defined and apply and respect KF and KITS processes and methodology. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the project workstreams, ensuring delivery of project activities, project meetings - in other words - prepare and lead project committee, steering committees (with Business PM), Kick-off, closure etc. You will create and manage single or multiple concurrent projects, through a systems development programme of work to deliver the essential system needs for the appropriate business area (e.g. E Commerce, Logistics and back office systems).

You will be responsible for ensuring deliverables are in line with customer expectations, review, evaluate and forecast resources and costs on a regular basis, using the appropriate tools and taking appropriate action as necessary. You will manage Risks, Issues, Dependencies and scope changes effectively on a regular basis as well as issue appropriate communications e.g. status report as necessary to relevant people. You will identify and communicate clearly the roles and responsibilities of each member of the project from the Sponsor downwards in an international context according to governance process, lead and motivate a team to deliver project goals and colleagues objectives and ensure the agreed solution is fit for purpose and supportable.

You will have the ability to influence Key Stakeholders, Peers, Senior Management, Counterpart across Op Co.'s as well as 3 rd Party Software solution partners

Qualifications

We're expecting this person to have a g ood knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes, including risk management, knowledge of project management approaches such as PRINCE2 as well as knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures. You will have the innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems and experience of managing projects and programmes within specialist environments (e.g. SAP)
Previous project / programme management and the understanding of IT strategy and IT industry trends relating to retailing is a must have. You will have an understanding of IT strategy and IT industry trends, business case development and financial management and a passion / drive to deliver strategic goals.
