Our client, a European alternatives investment fund are currently looking to hire a Legal Counsel to join their London team. The fund, which focuses on a number of strategies including private debt and real asset, have a broad European portfolio which they are looking to expand over the coming year - making it a very exciting time to join!
As the Legal Counsel, you will immediately be afforded plenty of responsibility whilst working closely with the Portfolio Managers and wider investment team. On a daily basis, you will be responsible for providing a legal advice and support to the fund with respect to the strategic, legal and documentation aspects of the transactions. This is a newly created role within the business which you will be given the autonomy to grow and develop. The role is a fantastic opportunity for a recently qualified lawyer with experience in investment management space, either in-house or practice, to become and integral member of a fast growing fund.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Providing legal advice and support to the fund with respect to the strategic, legal and documentation aspects of the transactions
- Ensuring all transactions are fully documented and compliant with legal framework
- Drafting, preparing and reviewing all fund related legal documents
- Liaising with external law firms and service providers to instruct and review agreements
YOUR PROFILE: - Qualified lawyer with previous exposure to the investment management space
- Experience of private debt, structured finance or asset backed transactions
- Team player who can work collaboratively within a fast moving environment
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
