This Asset Management firm is looking for a Compliance Testing VP to join their team on a permanent basis. This individual will cover a variety of functions ranging from reviewing and testing business controls to manage relevant Compliance Risks or to meet specific regulatory requirements to validating, reporting and tracking the progress against action plans established to mitigate findings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Identifying and assessing compliance conduct-related risks to the business and assess how these risks can be tested
  • Identifying and documenting the scope and testing approach for reviews in line with the Compliance Testing methodology
  • Conducting fieldwork in line with the agreed Testing Plan and ensuring that work conducted and findings from testing are adequately documented
  • Agreeing remediation actions and ownership with key stakeholders based on findings from the fieldwork
  • Producing reports that present review results, articulating the rationale for findings, the risks posed and actions required to address those risks
  • Working with Business Line Compliance Officers and Management to agree on appropriate action plans
  • Tracking agreed actions through to conclusion and report on progress upon completion of reviews
  • Developing and maintain knowledge of the business and regulatory framework in which it operates
  • Remaining up-to-date with relevant regulatory requirements and industry trends
  • Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders including Business Line Compliance Officers, Business Divisions and other Infrastructure / Control functions at all levels including senior stakeholders
  • Supervise, coach and develop more junior members of staff


The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Experience of working within an Asset Management firm
  • Strong understanding of regulations and risk affecting the division and thorough understanding of Compliance Risks and testing requirements
  • Recent experience of delivering compliance testing and/or monitoring reviews in a complex corporate environment
  • Ability to communicate with all Senior Stakeholders within the business
  • The ability to understand and interpret various laws, regulations, and policies
  • Covered all asset classes / traditional and alternative
  • Internal Audit experience or Operational Risk background
  • Compliance testing background
