Client Director / Investment Trusts / Institutional / Asset Management / Multi Asset / Client Strategy / Closed Ended Funds
Responsibilities
• Oversee all interactions with investment trust boards and ensuring that all aspects of the services from various internal teams within the business operate efficiently
• Support the portfolio managers in their relationships with boards
• Oversight and, when appropriate preparation of, investment papers in conjunction with relevant internal teams (quarterly investment report, interim and annual shareholder reports, strategy notes, risk reports etc).
• Maintaining knowledge of all aspects of the investment trust business (marketing, sales, PR activities), and proactively sharing these with directors when necessary.
• Leading discussions on changes to fees, strategy, the mandate/ fund manager messaging, etc.
• Ultimate responsibility for transitions of mandates.
• Attendance at industry events etc.
• Arranging for Compliance signoff on external materials
• Communication and managing any errors and omissions with operational teams
• Oversight of KYC, Salesforce entries, client files, meeting notes, invoices, implication of regulatory changes, etc.
• Ensuring that a client executive is assigned to undertake relevant tasks
• Collaborating with our sales team to deliver client feedback on key issues.
Knowledge / Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Client Director in an Asset Manager
• Investment trust and/or wider investment market knowledge with the ability to apply this knowledge to address clients needs and challenges
• Evidence of an ability to nurture strong personal relationships with clients and key members of the Investment Trust community.
• Significant awareness of competitor propositions and wider market trends in the Investment Trust market. You'll have the ability to assess and prioritise a multi asset client value proposition in a thoughtful and effective manner to create business opportunities via an existing book of clients
• Strong communication skills – demonstrable ability to communicate verbally or in written form detailed and complicated concepts coherently and confidently to key stakeholders.
