The role will assist and support the ABC and Sanctions Advisory SME team in providing specialist advice and analysis in all matters relating to anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) and Sanctions. You will also be coordinating closely with the FCC Advisory Teams and the Global ABC and Sanctions Teams to ensure that consistent advice and analysis of complex ABC and Sanctions issues are appropriately controlled and that the UK and EMEA region is in compliance with global standards.
This to include (but not limited to):
  • Providing advice and guidance to Advisory teams on ABC and Sanctions matters referred by the business.
  • Assisting with significant complex ABC and Sanctions issues, referred by the FCC Advisory Teams, requiring detailed analysis and/or external legal advice/interaction with regulators etc.
  • Proactive advice to the FCC Advisory teams regarding ABC/Sanctions legislation and global requirements.
  • Oversight of ABC and Sanctions-related language, reps and warranties in contractual documentation.
  • Assisting the FCC Advisory Teams in delivering targeted face to face training on ABC and Sanctions related topics.
  • Coordinating with Global function to ensure that UK and EMEA controls and procedures adhere to global framework and to maintain awareness of ABC and Sanctions threats and risks.
  • Act as escalation point for G&E referrals and issues.
  • Ensuring by testing and review that the control framework is robust and operating effectively.
  • Ad hoc project work as required.
  • Ensuring critical issues are properly recorded in relevant field's trackers and other document retention tools.
  • Gathering and presenting MI for periodic governance forums.
  • Maintaining appropriate document retention records and electronic filing.
This position will be ENO level.
Due to the nature of the role being business facing, this position must be held locally as the incumbent will require constant engagement with the business partners and FCC Advisory Teams that he/she will be supporting.
This role is open to discussion regarding flexible / agile working.

You Offer
  • Proven experience working in a financial institution, preferably within Financial Crime Compliance.
  • Preferably be educated to degree level or have an appropriate FCC qualification such as an ICA Certificate in Financial Crime and or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and IT skills. Outstanding communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at a senior level.
  • Results-oriented, hardworking individual with outstanding attention to details and problem solving skills. Demonstrate ability to learn.
