BA role sits within my clients existing Middle Office Operational Business Transformation Team, which is being expanded to cover upcoming client implementation projects.

Requirement

Our client, a global leading player within the investment banking field is looking for a Middle Office Business Analyst based in Glasgow on a 12 month contract.

Role/Responsibilities

 

Purpose of the position:

To act as a Business Analyst to work alongside an experienced project team and UK product team, to deliver solutions to new and existing clients. The post holder will be required to work across multiple workstreams for the UK Middle Office business line, have high level knowledge of Securities Services and Asset Management and be able to guide SME resource to think about risks in relation to implementation. The post holder will also support product, operational, IT and engineering teams in implementing services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and proposing solutions.
  • Contributing to ongoing reviews of business processes and developing and documenting new operating models, processes and procedures
  • Conducting workshops, meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of workshops and requirements analysis
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Working closely with clients, SME’s, key stakeholders and IT business analysts
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
  • Serving as a liaison between Project team and users.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of analysis

  • Senior managers across our Middle Office Operations
  • IT colleagues and senior IT managers
  • Senior managers of our client service/relationship team.
  • Senior managers from our sales teams
  • Senior managers from IS&A

Top 3/4 Evaluation Criteria

  1. Strong BA (people skills, end to end BA delivery)
  1. Financial services experience (specifically fund and asset management)
  1. Onboarding / offboarding client fund experience
  1. Evidence of change management
