Agile Scrum Master/Project Manager

The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).

Within CT, the Controls, Legal & Regulatory Technology organization delivers technology solutions for:

  • Legal & eDiscovery - ensures that JPMC follows relevant laws, regulations and business rules, including understanding and adhering to ethical codes; managing litigations, transaction matters, legal entities, outside counsel's, legal hold, collection and preservation during litigation matters
  • Controls & Operational Risk - identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of events; capital loss quantification, issue management, training and awareness
  • Regulatory Engagement - oversight of Regulatory engagements - commitments, meetings and formal reporting to regulatory authorities; Policies & Standards, Legal Regulatory Change Mgmt. and Obligations
We are currently seeking a Scrum Master/ Project Manager to join the team responsible for delivering solutions that meet the requirements of our key client part of Regulatory Technology with following responsibilities.

  • Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and enacted - Ensures team adheres to Scrum theory, practices and rules .
  • Manage a team of scrum masters in remote locations and provide functional oversight .
  • Coaches the Development Team, Product Owner and organization to help them to continuously improve .
  • Helps the Development Team self-organize effectively .
  • Facilitates Agile ceremonies (retrospective, sprint planning, release planning, etc)
  • Work directly with both technology teams and Regulatory stakeholders to set priorities, articulate technical solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with the business users and team of software professionals to partner/deliver a best in class solution.
  • Proven experience of working in Agile Feature teams in a Scrum master role.
  • BS degree, preferably in Computer Science / Engineering or similar degree.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst is a plus.
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical members of the organization including senior management.
  • Experience managing a global matrix team including onshore and offshore resources.
  • Experience managing vendors and their solutions
  • Proficient with tools like JIRA, Confluence.
  • Solid analytical & problem solving skills - capable of objectively reviewing and understanding issues and tenacious in seeking quick, creative solutions and removing impediments.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project Office.
  • Experience in Agile methodology.
  • Experience in managing software application releases.
  • Scrum Master Certification is preferred.
